Fluffy Protein Pancakes

Is there anything better than sleeping as long as you want, waking up and having pancakes for breakfast?😍😍😍
Yeah, maybe there is, but it is not much.πŸ™ƒπŸ™‚πŸ™ƒ
So today I slept until 10, waking up and craving for a sweet breakfast. πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—Actually my breakfasts are sweet 350/365 days a year, πŸ’πŸΌπŸ˜‚but today I wanted something extraordinary since I had enough time because there is no school today.
So I came up with this recipe which is healthy, Full of protein and super fluffy!πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ŒπŸ˜

And wouldn’t it be a great idea to surprise your valentine (your boyfriend, your mum, or whoever…) this Sunday?πŸ’ž

In case you are as lucky as I was you can put a heart shaped rasspberry on top of it, or even bake heart shaped pancakes for Valentine’s day!

Ingredients: (~15 pancakes)
80g flour of your choice (I used rye)
200g low-fat quark / Greek yoghurt
200g buttermilk
2 eggs

Optional: sweetener of your choice

Note: I forgot about the sweetener, but since I used a sweet topping it was not necessary.😌

πŸ‘‰πŸΌHere is the recipe of the Berry ProteinfluffΒ IΒ used as a topping.
But you can use whatever you want which is one of the big advantages of my beloved pancakes.

Mix together the flour, the quark, the eggs and the buttermilk. The “dough” is not as liquid as the one of normal pancakes, but it should not be like cookie dough. It is supposed to have a similar consistency like muffin dough.

Use some oil to grease your pan and start baking the little paddies. They are not meant to be thin as crepΓͺs, because the result should be super fluffy and thick.🍳

Now you can build a tower and use the topping of your choice for every layer. On top of it (or even in between) you can place fruits if you want.IMG_9113

Above you can find a link to my toppingπŸ‘†πŸΌπŸ˜»

Note: You can restore them in a box in your fridge for up to two days. If you heat them in your microwave don’t put them inside for more than 30 seconds. Otherwise they won’t be fluffy but hard instead.πŸ˜‰

Healthy Strawberry Icecream – not only in summer

It is not a joke that my friends sometimes call me Strawberry-Queen πŸ‘‘ because my addiction to the little red fruits is incredible. I cannot blame them for giving me this nickname because they are right. But what does the πŸ“Strawberry-Queen in winter ❄️(since she lives in cold Germany)???πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

Fresh strawberries 😍 are at first imported from other countries far away. Buying these would would be a hit in the face of the environment. We often forget about the distances and emission when we go shopping but we really should.🌳

Secondly they usually do not taste as good as the fresh German ones in summer. They are hard and untasty.IMG_8925

So I decided to eat frozen  strawberries but I realized that the aroma is not comparable to my beloved strawberries in summer…πŸ˜ͺ

This is why I came up with the idea of using the frozen strawberries I bought for something else.πŸ’πŸΌπŸ’

Another thing I like to eat every day because it is not complicate to get it in every season is low-fat quark. It is delicious, packed with proteins and you can do so many things with it!πŸ™ƒπŸ™‚

For example the best strawberry ice cream πŸ“in the world:
No sugar, almost no fat, lots of protein and healthy. But the most important: onolicious.πŸ˜‹

If you wonder about this phrase I will tell you that it is Hawaiian for especially delicious. I learned it last year (O gosh, I still need to get used to it that 2015 is over now) when we were in Hawaii.🌺 By the way are you interested in a blogpost about my stay on Big Island? If so, let me know in the commentsπŸ˜‰.

But now I won’t stop you from trying this amazing😍😍😍 recipe…

(For one serving)

150 g frozen strawberries
2-3 tbs. low-fat quark or
2-3 tbs. Stevia

Put the strawberries into a bowl, add the sweetener (I like to use natreen stevia but you can use any sweetener of your choice with a similar consistency) and the quark. Use a hand blender to mix everything until it is soft and creamy as ice cream should be🍦. Serve or eat immediately before it melts!πŸ˜‰

As a topping I like to use dark chocolate rasps🍫 or if it is for breakfast oats. Yes, I eat ice cream for breakfast – even in winter along with a huge mug of tea β˜•οΈ.
You can also use coconutflakes or branflakes which I recommend, too. But you do not need a topping. I rarely use it but I thought it looks nicer on the blogπŸ™ˆ. It tastes so good and it is so good for you too!πŸ™†πŸΌ
Quick, easy and healthyπŸŒ±πŸŒžπŸ’πŸΌ

Now enjoy your sweet strawberry dreamπŸ’•

I am so excited about your commentsπŸ™ˆπŸ˜ŠπŸ™†πŸΌ.
